Description

ELF2-AE is an external E1 access interface device for Asterisk. ELF2-AE can be connected to the Asterisk server using the Ethernet link and TDMoE (TDMoX) protocol. ELF2-AE is delivered in any of the following form factor variants: stand-alone or rack mountable case. The device is based on the ELF2 platform, whose reliability was proved with by the thousands of the successful installations. The advanced IP-cores developed by our engineers give us the opportunity of cost-effective solution. ELF2-AE has some advantages over traditional E1 PCI interface cards, for example, hotplug of the device or new E1 ports connection without rebooting the server. ELF2-AE can be used to create the Asterisk server clusters with redundancy. Multiple redundant servers can share a single pull of ELF2-AE devices.

The TDMoE protocol is supported by the standard zaptel/DAHDI distribution, there is no need to build an individual driver for the device, it's enough to build and install zaptel or DAHDI.

ELF2-AE provides high diagnostic capabilities for E1 line test: from a simple link monitor to embedded frequency counter.
